More Guided Walks

Just watched a Goanna that was making funny convulsive movements on our bedroom porch. After a few moments I noticed there was a tail sticking out of its mouth....it had just swallowed a mouse !

Our guests earlier this week also did the Coastal Wildlife Walk. This time we saw a Little Penguin in the other active burrow. Then we heade around to the cave shown in the picture with pretty marine growth just out of the water. On the foreshore this time we saw an Oyster Catcher, a Cormorant and a Pacific Gull flying past.

After a rest and lunch we headed down Orchid Gully for the Bush Walk. This time the odd frog croak here and there, Climbing Galaxias in the pool above the waterfall and a big one in the pool at the base as well as yabbies. Yabbies also in pools further on. Twinning Fringe Lillies in flower and also Vanilla Lillies, both with mauve flowers.
