Who Lives Here ?

Last Sunday Pat and I went for our regular 5 km circuit walk. A sunny partly cloudy morning but cool enough to keep our jumpers on even after going up several quite steep parts of the track. It goes down to about 10 meters above sea level and up to almost the highest elevation on KI, about 250 meters, meeting our road to the Retreat. On a gentle incline section through Tea Tree Cup Gum bush we came across a 50 cm Tiger snake sunning itself out even on such a cool day. Not far from the Retreat we passed this spot with the weird entrance opening. The size of the stones are typical and the 20 cent coin gives an idea of the size of the Inch ant which came out to investigate. These are to be treated with caution; don't get stung by one because it's very painful and the pain lasts for several weeks !
